Abstract: The factors which influence the durability of reinforced concrete structure are analyzed. The countermeasures of preventing and treating degradation of steel-concrete building structure in environment are proposed. Therefore, “ZHONGHE 2000” capillary crystalline waterproof material will play a major role.

1 Reasons of concrete structure deterioration
1.1 Structural factors
Concrete is porous materials, its porosity makes 20 percent of the total volume. One kind of pores is protogenous pores, it is caused by the evaporation of the water in the setting process,the setting contraction of the hydration production and the poor contact of cement with aggregate due to nonuniform vibration. Another kind of pores is deuterogenic pores, it is caused by the environment and the external force. The size of pores could be divided into four kinds: one is gel pores, the second is transitional pores, the third is capillary pores, the fourth is large pores. The diameter of the gel pores is usually 50~100Å; the majority of capillary pores is open pores with irregular shape, they have a substantial fraction of the pores, their diameter is about 10~100 µm; the diameter of the transitional pores falls in between of gel pores and capillary pores; large pores are caused by the improper construction, their diameter is mm grade, even cm grade.
