Abstract:The indoor simulation test of drainage method by chiseling groove and burying pipe was implemented; this method was applied to remediation for tunnel seepage on Shimen-Jishou section of Jiaozuo-Liuzhou railway. The impervious performance of this method was studied. Waterproofing mechanism of CN2000B coating was researched with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The test results showed, the waterproofing coating had the characteristic of capillary crystalline and self-healing. After the coating was brushed on the surface of mortar, the impermeability pressure may reach 0.9 MPa at the age of 28 d, and the impermeability pressure ratio can reach 450%. However, the depth of the groove had no obvious effect on the impermeability pressure. These research results can be used for reference to remediation for seepage on existing operational tunne1 henceforth.

1 Overview
  The problem of leakage water is a common quality failing for tunnel and underground engineering nowadays. It is also one of the tough problems for a long time to the related departments[1]. By the end of 1998, there are more than 5,000 running railway tunnels in China, over 2,500km; about 70% of tunnels have damage by water[2].
