Cohesiveness to substrate surface

  It needs adhesive. It is difficult to master climate dry degree and to apply in large area. The junctions lose the stickiness after 3~5 years. Majority adhesives will be failures. These adhesive failures include the partial adhesive failures appeared in large area adhesive. They are all difficult to check and maintenance.

  It is sticky liquid before solidification. It has good adhesive. But it requires the substrate surface dry, none dust. But the adhesive is bad and easy to peel after contact water.

  This material is cementitious. It is the same substance as concrete. When the substrate surface is in wet saturated state, through permeable crystalline, it becomes as one with substrate together. It needn’t adhesive.

Stability

 Except a part of polymer synthesis coil has good weather resistance, low temperature resistance, heat resistance and ageing resistance of high polymer asphalt coil are general. And performance of the common asphalt coil is worse.

 Because of poor ozone resistance, UV resistance, it is unsuited to exposed waterproofing. It is usually applied to underground building waterproof project. Its water resistance is poor. It is easy to expand and hydrolyze in long-term water immersion.

  It is inorganic substance. It has excellent resistant to high and low temperature, resistant to freezing-thawing cycle and ozone resistance, resistant to ultraviolet and aging. It could prevent erosion of all kinds of harmful substances from atmosphere, underground water, sea water and soil. It also could self healing to the micro cracks (≤0.4mm) in structure.

Service life

  The maintenance of asphalt type coil is frequent. After add protective layer, once fractures or adhesive failures occur, the inspection and maintenance is difficult. High performance polymer roll can be used 10 years or so.

  The service life is 10 years or so.

  It has the same long life with concrete structure; Because the material could prevent the concrete structure from degradation. So it could improve the service life of structure greatly.

Application property

  The asphalt type coil needs holt-melt application. The bonding strength of cold priming paint is bad. The polymer synthesis coil needs use the organic solvent adhesive. It has high requirements to climate at application and water contain of substrate. It has poor adaptability to complex substrate surface.

  The requirement to application climate and moisture content of the substrate is demanding. The assurance rate of quality is a little low.

  CN2000B can be applied in normal temperature. Its application is convenient. It can be used for trowel coating, brush coating, and spray coating. It is suited to all kinds of substrate surface. The curing time is short. The period of application can be shortened.

Safety and environmental conservation

  The application of the asphalt type coil pollutes the environment. It is harmful to human. The polymer synthesis coil needs use the organic solvent adhesive with toluene, acetone, etc. which is harmful to human and pollutes the environment.

 In prepolymer, the excessive and dissociative isocyanate root is harmful to human. Some amine chain extension agent may cause cancer. The hydrolysis products pollute environment and waters.

  CN2000B is non-toxic and flavorless. The contents of VCO and heavy metal are less than the instrument detection limit.
Dust and residual material can’t produce any secondary pollution.

The comparison of ZHONGHE 2000 series of anticorrosive and waterproof materials with other waterproofing materials


  CN2000B cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing coating with eka-molecular sieve structure is one of “ZHONGHE 2000” series of waterproof materials. Its composition, productive technology, physical and chemical properties are superior to similar products at domestic and overseas. Its applied range is wider. This product and production equipments have 5 national utility-model patents, 2 national invention patents and 1 international invention patent.
 

 

 1 It has unique structure and international patent.

  In similar products at domestic and overseas, our company first introduced the concept of ‘eka-molecular sieve’. Because of the unique formula and production technology, this product catalyzes some components in the concrete to produce chemical reaction with water when there is water for meeting. Therefore various hydrate crystals join regularly and produce an eka-molecular sieve structure. This kind of structure has many characteristics: First, the crystals which are produced by hydrate join regularly. It makes the pore uniformity. And the pore size is decided by formulation. Second, it has strong selective absorbability to partial positive ions. Third, the chemical stability of structure is high.
  Hydration reaction of CN2000B forms waterproof layer with structure of eka-molecular sieve. The waterproof layer carries mass active substance “R” which is made from unsaturated polar molecules and then made ”R” form dispersion of atomic level and ionize. It will enrich and activate on the surface of the coating and pores. It creates condition for permeation and diffusion of “R” on surface of cement stone through pores.
  The special composition and the eka-molecular sieve structure of product make the waterproof coating have the following characters:
  (1) Have high impermeability pressure and keep excellent air permeability
  (2) Strong resistant to freezing-thawing cycle
  (3) Have excellent performance of resistant to chloride, sulfate radical
  (4) Have obvious function of permeable crystalline(5) Strong bonding strength with surface substrate

 2 Its mechanical property is in the lead at domestic and overseas.

2.1 High impervious pressure
  The impervious pressure of CN2000B is higher than national standard GB18445 and like products at domestic and overseas. The impervious pressure of like products at domestic and overseas is in range of national standard generally, individual products are even under the national standard.
2.2 Structure strengthening------coating can strengthen the compressive strength and bending strength of basis. The compressive strength and bending strength are higher than like products abroad.
  China national standard GB18445 formulates that coating should be done the compressive strength and bending strength test of net slurry samples to coating . In fact, this data doesn’t have importance to engineering application. In consideration of practical application, similar foreign materials in foreign countries is based on ASTM to determine the compressive strength and bending strength of coating sample, and compare the data of the coating to the control sample, substrate without coating. Therefore, the company launched a test of “effect of CN2000B coating to compression, bending strength of cement substrate”.
  According to ASTM C-109, test of compressive strength to coating shows that CN2000B coating can improve the bending strength of substrate >5%, improve the compressive strength of substrate >5%. They are all higher than like products at domestic and overseas. See below table:

This test shows that the CN2000B has property of capillary crystalline and strengthening function to substrate structure. The strengthening function is important to building structure design and maintenance.

 3 It has strong resistance to corrosion, freezing and thawing cycle. And has a long service life.

  ——Tested by National Research Council Canada, the service life is over 26 years in severe circumstance.
3.1 Company research report
  The test of absorption, resistance to dilute hydrochloric acid, chloride, sulfate and coefficient of anticorrosion is carried out by samples of ZHONGHE 2000 series of products. The test shows that this coating can be applied in circumstance of pH value 2~12. The material has good property of resistant to sulfate, chloride, magnesium salt.
  Test at domestic shows that CN2000B coating is still whole, non crazes, wrinkles, powder out or spalling through 200 times freezing-thawing cycle. According to the calculated method of National Research Council Canada, This is equivalent to the service life of 43 years in North America.
3.2 Test report of the Canadian National Research Council Building Research Institute
  In North of our country and North America, concrete structural damage of roads and bridges which is caused by freezing and thawing cycle and deicing salt or snowmelt agent is serious. And it caused great potential safety hazard and economic loses. In order to resolve the problems of freezing and thawing cycle and the erosion of chloridion to concrete structure,. from 1960s, every country in the world makes persistent effort. From 1996 to 2006, in the decade, the Canadian National Research Council Building Research Institute NRCC-D, Qian S. Y. etc. had researched and monitored the performances of 9 kinds of anticorrosive inhibitors which were applied to some parts of a main highway bridge in Quebec Laval. The results of research showed that the above anticorrosive inhibitors hadn’t evident effect to the bridge. So it is difficult to resolve the problem.
  Canadian Revolutionary Concrete Solutions Canada Inc delegated this Research Institute to test the performance of resistant to chloride erosion and freezing-thawing resistance of CN2000B coating for 9 months. The ASTM-1202 ‘concrete electric flux measurement’ was applied in test. The results confirm:
  (1) A significant electrical charge reduction was observed after application of the CN2000B coating. This electrical charge reduction increased with curing time of this coating, especially in the first 10 days. This indicates that the resistance to chloride ion penetration of concrete specimens was significantly increased with this waterproof coating.
  (2) After long-term freezing-and-thawing cycles, the electrical charges on all specimens were stable, indicating no deterioration of the coating. A visual inspection of these coatings after 120 freezing-and-thawing cycles confirmed that no cracks, spalling or defects could be observed on the coatings indicating that they can provide adequate resistance to the severe winter freezing-and-thawing conditions.
  The test of freezing-thawing cycle was done 120 times by National Research Council of Canada. On prevenient experimental results, this Research Institute calculated the service life of this coating. It will be over 26 years in North America.

 4 It has unique equipment which has 7 national patents. Ensure the product quality stable and reliable.

  The Cementitious Capillary Crystalline Waterproofing Materials are uniform powder mixtures which are comprised of cement as main material and the activating substance and other additives as the masterbatch or auxiliary material. Although the amount of these additives is very little as to be say minim comparatively, they act the decisive role to the performance of the product. Therefore the precise batching and uniform mixing is important precondition for making the complex physical and chemical reaction to normally proceed and for ensuring the quality and performance of the product.
  At present, in China and other countries the traditional intermission batch mixing is basically adopted in the powder industry .It is difficult to avoid big random errors and such process doesn’t have ability of automatically changing the auxiliary material feeding amount, to fit the change of the main material flow rate, and can not produce continuously. The mechanical means are adopted in traditional mixing techniques. It is also difficult to mix the powder homogenized. Some manufacture in foreign published a production process diagram after 2005 technology advance. The diagram showed that its core technology is still tapered twisted dragon mixer with several material transporters. After weight them separately, send to mixer. But at domestic, the productive mean is even simple. Generally it is only a tapered twisted dragon, hand feeding, batch production. Therefore, the uniformity and stability of product can’t be ensured.
  “Full automatic powder preparation system” of ZHONGHE Company not only ensures the uniformity and stability of product, but also realizes the automation and serialization through “a servo tracking add system of auxiliary materials” and “micro-mixing system”. Besides the above international patent, this installation also has 2 Chinese national invention patents and 5 Chinese utility model patents.

  Environment conservation indexes: The harmful powder contents in the environment air and the environment noise are less than the requirement of national relevant standards.

 5 The cost performance is far above the similar products at domestic and overseas.

  CN2000B not only has excellent properties of waterproof and antiseptic, but also is easy to apply and has short application cycle. The application interval time between each two coatings of some similar product in foreign is 24 hours. The curing time of coating is 48~72 hours. It needs ventilation conditions in underground installation construction such as elevator shaft, etc. Another product in foreign needs to interval 24~48 hours between each layer coating. The curing time of coating is 48 hours. You must never apply other materials (except portland cement) on the coatings in 28 days. But to CN2000B, after applying the first coating, you could apply the next coating when the first coating is hand touch dry. The interval time is only half an hour. After the last coating, cure 24 hours, you could backfill and do the next process (except impoundment). Also it needn’t the ventilation conditions. Like this, if calculate it as 2 coatings, apply CN2000B could save 2/3~3/4 of the working hours at least for application unit and owner. It brings prominent economic benefit.

 6 It has performances of waterproofing, anticorrosion and antifouling. It is used widely. It improves the concrete durability greatly.

  Except CN2000B has functions of permeable crystalline, high anti-permeability pressure, self-healing, its special composition and structure has excellent antiseptic property. It could prevent concrete structure from deteriorating and improve concrete durability effectively. Therefore, the applied range of this material isn’t only restricted to single waterproofing, but also could be applied to prevent the concrete structure from corroding in circumstance. The types of corrosion of concrete structure include the carbonation function of atmosphere and acid rain, the corrosion of soft water and carbonic water in rivers, lakes and canal, the efflorescence of dust and sand in the air, the corrosion of chloride salt, sulfate in sea water, underground water, inland salt lake and saline soil, the corrosion from deicing salt and snowmelt agent to roads and bridges, the corrosion from vulcanize hydrogen to city concrete drainage pipes, the adhesion erosion from marine biological to marine structure, etc. At present, the situation of pollution of the atmosphere, water area, soil environment and the concrete structure increase deterioration serious in our country. So it is necessary to take anticorrosive measures to concrete structure. It is important to built resource- conserving society and sustainable development of society.
  The effect of our company’s product applied to anticorrosion of concrete structure is very obvious, such as: the barges shell, the sewage treatment plants in Chongqing, Tianjin, Anhui and Algeria etc., the US Florida coastal SR-A1A bridge piers, etc. The maintenance of this bridge is a successful example in which ZHONGHE 2000 is applied to do the waterproofing, anticorrosion and anti-fouling.

 7 The design and used method is clear and normative, ensures the application quality and prohibits any non-standard operation strictly.

  In order to ensure use our company’s material correctly, we draw up regulations and reference legend of all kinds of materials to prevent any non-standard operations. A foreign brand , for example, requires using 0.7~0.8kg/m2 every coating, applying 2~3 times published in a foreign country. But at domestic, people take quantity of every coating (0.7~0.8kg/m2) as total quantity. Therefore, this will influence the waterproof effect. What is more, some distributorss arbitrarily add more water or cement to save the cost. This will change water cement ratio and product composition completely. And its original properties lose.

 8 It is highly evaluated at home and abroad.

  ----The appraisal conclusion of the Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense of China is: “the synthetic performances and technical data of the series products have reached international advanced level”.
  ----The evaluation of international product evaluation mechanism is: the products rank first in materials, waterproofing materials, construction materials, concrete four areas in the world.
  a) The products were appraised by the Commission of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense of China. The conclusion of appraisal is that “the synthetic performances and technical data of the series products have reached international advanced level”. The series products were placed in « the export product catalog of military industry technology which was used for peaceful purpose » by China. The series products were listed at the new national key products by the State Economic and Trade Commission. The series products have been assessed as one of ten “excellent science and technology brands of the green building materials of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games” by the Ministry of Construction.
