Probational Regulation of Crack
Consolidation Grouting and Lining Backfill
Grouting for ZHONGHE 2000 Series of
Anticorrosive and Waterproof Materials

1 General principle
1.0.1 The regulation is appropriate for crack consolidation grouting and lining backfill grouting. Crack consolidation grouting includes cock stratum fracture grouting and concrete fracture grouting. It is also appropriate for preliminary grouting of pipe-shed and structural joint filling. Lining backfill grouting includes backfill grouting to holes between lining made wall and surrounding rock and between vault and surrounding rock. It is also appropriate for plugging of hydraulic diversion tunnel gate, filling of embedded part cavities and filling reinforcement of cave and old hole.
1.0.2 The regulation is appropriate for all kinds of crack consolidation grouting and lining backfill grouting projects which belong inⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ waterproof grade.
1.0.3 Grouting project is a covert project with complex technologies. In order to ensure engineering quality and obtain the best economic and technical result, technical managements of three stages must be strict.
(1) Before construction, site investigation is necessary. The construction condition must be understood. This can lay a solid foundation for later work. The contents of survey include:
① The situation of stratum structure and ground water activity in the construction area, development degree and permeability of surrounding rock crack, maximum level and water flow, type of tunnel support and demarcate of effective section.
② The compressive capacity and shear capacity of grouting surrounding rock, thick and age of lining structure, forecast of the biggest grouting pressure which may be borne.
③ Understanding of the market condition of grouting material and grouting apparatus, arrangement of typical water pressure test and small proportioning and grouting test.
(2) When construction scheme of grouting is drew up, the relationship between owner and engineering design unit should be coordinated well. Through full discussion, determined contents include the following items:
① The purpose and requirement of grouting, the waterproof degree of project, grouting quantities of each projects,
② Selection of different grouting materials and grouting methods according to different conditions,
The grouting construction methods include: hole location arrangement, aperture, hole depth and direction control, grouting manner, grouting process, slurry degree, final grouting pressure and condition of stop grouting, requirement of hole sealing and treatment of anomalies, etc.
③ Method of quality inspection and acceptance standard of project,
④ Grouting organization, process of work and appropriation budget,
⑤ Safety measures.
(3) In specific construction section, first, strengthen the on-site inspection: whether the drill hole, slurrying, grouting and stop grouting are executed or not according to the design requirement, whether the exception handling is proper or not; Second, check various of tables and reports strictly: whether they are real time, accuracy and integrity.
1.0.4 Pay attention to sum up experience, richen the content of regulations, improve construction level constantly, when execute the regulations.

Technical Regulation for Applications of
ZHONGHE 2000 Seriesof Anticorrosive
and Waterproof Materials

1 General principle

1.1 In order to meet the requirements on the project application from the relative users, make a full play of the ZHONGHE 2000 series of anticorrosive and waterproof materials effectively and ensure the quality of projects to be built up, the present technical regulations are written based on the technical specifications and standards, newly issued by the state for the waterproof projects in the industries concerned, and according to the performances and usage experiences of the present materials.
1.2There are many methods for the ZHONGHE 2000 series of anticorrosive and waterproof materials to be used, including surface trowel coating, brush coating, mechanical spray coating and pressure grouting, which are adaptive to the various waterproof and anti-corrosive projects of both ground and underground building structures as well as metallic components.
1.3 Before a waterproof project is conducted, an investigation should be made on the project to get the relative information and data enough and do the design for the project application carefully by following the policy of “combining with waterproofing, draining, intercepting and plugging, rigid material and flexible material in parallel, adjusting measures to local conditions, comprehensive management.””
1.4 The use of ZHONGHE 2000 series of anticorrosive and waterproof materials must be based on the present technical regulations. The design, application and acceptance of various waterproof projects must be made in compliance with the current standards concerned, given by the state.

2 Technical terminology
2.1Durable age limit of the waterproof layer
The use term of the waterproof layer calculated by year at the normal usage condition.
2.2 One waterproof layer
A waterproof layer with independent waterproofing ability.
2.3 Cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing materials
The rigid waterproof materials at the powder state made from cement, quartz powder, active substances and various additives.
The active substance in the materials can permeate into the cracks and pores in the concrete. As long as there is water, the silicates, aluminates and dissociated calcium oxide in the concrete engender reaction with water under the catalysis of active substances and produce new crystalline along the cracks, which plugs up the passages of water. Therefore waterproof effect is achieved.
2.4 Polymer modified cementitious waterproofing coating
The flexible waterproof materials at the double components made from the polymer latex and cement as the main materials and other compounds as the accessory materials.
After dehydration, the slurry of the materials can form an elastic crystalline film at network state on the surface of the structure. This is the waterproof materials adaptive to the elastic deformation.
2.5 Materials for leakage plugging up quickly
The waterproof materials with a function of leakage plugging up quickly in the construction of a project, and with an ability to swell and consolidate quickly, when they meet with water.
2.6 Capacity of self-healing
A capacity that chemical active compound in the cementitious capillary crystalline waterproofing materials has.
Such a compound is at a dormant state, when it is dry. Once the water intrudes into the cracks, it resumes the activity immediately. Under the catalysis of active substances, the lattices of the aggregate in the waterproof materials and the unhydrated cement pastes in the concrete structure again engender reaction with water and reproduce crystalline which plugs up the tiny cracks. The waterproof materials and concrete structure achieve the purpose of self-healing.
2.7 Time operable for the slurry of the waterproof materials
The time refers to the time length from stirring the waterproof materials to be mixed with water to initial setting of the mixed waterproof materials and water, i.e. initial setting time.
2.8 Impermeability of the coating layer (waterproof coating)
The biggest water resistance pressure. At the standardized test condition, a pressure is applied increasingly upon the tested work piece gradually and the maximal pressure upon the work piece for water proofing is referred to as the impermeability, which is calculated as MPa.

Regulations for 《ZHONGHE 2000》Series
of Anticorrosive and Waterproof Materials

1 Basic requirement of spraying and grouting process to anticorrosive and waterproof materials

1.1Requirement to the raw materials
a. The materials at the powder state to be used for preparing waterproof slurry is the rigid waterproof one of CN2000B–PT product (for spray coating use) and CN2000B–ZJ product (for grouting use), produced by our company, or other materials applicable to the process of relative project application with no agglomeration and impurity in it, but easy to be hydrated and in compliance with the requirements on the particle sizes.
b. Water to be used for preparing the slurry above can be the commonly used tap water, but sea water, polluted water or underground water with high content of acid, alkali or salt.
1.2 Requirement to the slurry
a. The slurry above should be prepared strictly by following the designed formula with the metering error no larger than 5%.
b. The procedures for preparing the slurry above are as the follows: The slurry above should be prepared first by adding the waterproof materials at the powder state in water, while stirring the mixture. The prepared mixture must be mixed fully to ensure it at a uniform state. During the preparing the slurry, the mechanically stirring time should not be shorter than 3 minutes.
c. The prepared slurry should be used up at a definite quantity within the fixed time. The quantity of the slurry to be prepared each time can be depended on its initial setting time and its consumed speed to be sprayed or grouted so as to ensure that not only the slurry has been used up before its initial setting, but also the spray coating can be conducted successively. It is forbidden for the old slurry and newly prepared one to be used in a mixing way and for the initially set slurry to be reused after adding water in it.
